today we do our small part to bring awareness to a cause that is deeply important to me: Amy Lee is a cultural icon. the album Fallen by the only band to ever come from Arkansas (Evanescence) was released in 2003. I’m not good at math but that was a least a few years ago, and I think we owe it to ourselves to reevaluate the piece of art that raised questions like - do we like this rap rock thing? is this a christian band? should I dye my hair black and pierce my eyebrow? how CAN you see into my eyes like open doors? and more!!!!

Have any of the children of any of the rolling stones ever sang the song “papa was a rolling stone”? Can you imagine little Mick Keith Jr. rolling up to the 3rd grade talent show with his 80 year old father in the audience and earnestly performing that song… really makes you think.
I’m going to be honest with you, this episode was recorded in a different calendar year and I fear what may have been said. To set the scene, the newest album had been out for a few months and just trust me that it was kind of relevant to be talking about

oh me oh my they’ve done it again! the list lords at rolling stone have brought us the ccc - cool controversial content! if you’re a big time metal head, this is not for you because we aren’t and honestly I don’t really want to fight with the metal community right now. I feel like y’all have enough to work out amongst yourselves. in this episode we tackle the big questions: is avril lavigne metal? why are metallica songs so long? does anyone actually like m*tley cr*e? if you answered Y/it’s for god to handle/N, tune in.

today we’re talking about the best part of movies - the parts that are songs. sometimes the songs aren’t even actually in the movies. this episode is roughly the same amount of time as a movie that could have been 30 minutes shorter, so get yourself some popcorn, turn down the lights, and give yourself a real theatre experience

I have nothing funny to say because today we are diving deep into one of several perfect Fiona Apple albums. I am certain, dear readers, that we did not do it justice. you have my permission to substitute this episode with just listening to Tidal for however long this episode is.

well folks, we’re going through the big V and I don’t mean Vallas. it’s time to discuss the birds, the bees, and the deep dark sadness of valentine’s day. we managed to find some songs written about love and other sticky things to dissect in an attempt to really get it. call me mike myers because I think I just might be a love guru now!!!!

the year was 2003. that was 20 years ago, (between us honestly I think maybe it was only 10 years ago, still gathering the evidence). we cover everything from the fries that brought the nation together to the guys that tore us apart (ruben studdard vs. clay aiken). this one is also very long but when you consider that we fully covered an entire calendar year, it’s roughly only 2.5 minutes per day so that’s pretty good.

do you want to hear two losers talking about that rolling stone list that was kind of relevant when we recorded it and is definitely less relevant as of this release? okay great, crank it up y'all, it's time to get into some hot takes and some great lakes (bob seger). it's really long.
